Did you survive Truth’s SLDD? I didn’t. I wandered over there when I heard about his SLDD (that has now ended, sorrysorry) and landed in a predictable clusterfuck (there is no non-curseword term for clusterfuck) of grey bodies, panting and waiting for the vendor to tick past 9am.

It wasn’t even free hair. Insanity.

Luna Jubilee, who orchestrates SLDD and wrote about the magnificence of the event over at her blog too, must have been going crazy. I wanted to IM her so bad and say comforting things, but the extra IM ding would have probably turned her into a drooling wreck. Probably not actually, Luna’s pretty fantastic, but it would have turned ME into a drooling wreck.

It was worth the wait though. The amazing Chalice, my favourite style of this week (close call with Milla) is now glued to my pixelly bald head. Nom.

Today is Friday, and you know what that means? FIFTY LINDEN FRIDAY? No, it means your IMs are going to be capped because all your favourite stores are sending you notices about FLF. I’m so not complaining though.

The beautimous Fae Eriksen has been working her tiny hiney off on her new skin line for months, and today’s FLF is a preview of what’s to come. An adorable makeup called Cutesy to give you an example of the new line – soft tummies, pouty lips and pretty eyemakeup. I approve.

Oh, and a sidenote – the pink hair was done first and better by Gogo at Juicybomb. Just sayin!

Yesterday was my third rezday. How very weird. It seems like an odd concept, to celebrate being such a huge nerd that when you tell your friends what you do for a living, they look at you funny. Or worse, think they understand! It usually goes like this:

Me: I use 3d rendering software to position avatars, it allows people to take photos of themselves in Second Life

Friend: Like, sex animations?

Me: No, not sex animations. Just normal stands, and some poses for multiple avatars, so they can take photos with their friends

Friend: What, people have friends?

Me: Of course!

Friend: And then they have sex with them? Cos that’s all people do in Second Life, right?

Me: *sigh* Right.

Anyway. Here’s my rezday outfit, and a bunch of reflection on what Second Life means to me. But you don’t have to read that. Look at the pretty outfit.

Lookit the pretty necklace. Vintage McMillan, purveyor of cute hair, shiny sunglasses (like the ones pictured) and my faaavourite necklaces on the whole grid under the brand [mpb] shared some of his loooovely new stuff with me. I’m not gonna admit I spent like an hour pawing at the screen and drooling, but let’s just say I spent like an hour pawing at the screen and drooling.

Hello! Happy new year! Did you get super drunk and spend 00.00 slurring and making out with your friends? Oh, ok, that was me anyway. Hurrah!

It is my pleasure and honour to welcome the adorable and wonderful Fayne Khandr and redsoledrea GossipGirl to FashionCracked.com! I’ve always wanted this site to have a team of people blogging whatever they want to – cute pictures and cute styling, a big clusterfuck of lovely – and they’re both fantastical. They’ve already posted, but I was doing the aforementioned drinking/making out so missed it. Dohh.

Red is the co-owner of the fabulous store, recently rebranded from True Betty to OMFG I Love It! She has a thing for shoes (in both worlds) and apparently spends most of her time topless on her build platform while she makes stuff, so I don’t know whether giving her an excuse to put clothes on is a good thing or not but there you go. Yay!

Fayne has her own blog and I adore the way she puts outfits together and takes her pictures. So welcome to her as well! She doesn’t design, but she does shop on an epic scale, and apparently has a very personal relationship with her full length mirror. Rawr. She says I’m allowed to be defamatory about her but frankly she’s too lovely to say such things.

Hello!

There are a lot of things I can’t walk past without buying, even though I will rarely get a chance to wear them. Pretty ballgowns, kimono (randomly!) and pretty little dresses. I should wear more pretty little dresses, but the truth is I’m just way more of a jeans and boots kinda chick. Shame.

So I wandered over to Designers United, loving all the pictures I had seen already. I knew I liked this dress before I even bought it, but I didn’t realise I would LOVE IT and WANT TO HAVE ITS BABIES. Marni Grut is freaking awesome.

From the cute texture on the skirt prim to the ruffles underneath, the way it poofs out at the back… LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

The shoes are my second love of the day. I’ve been told I hate everything LeLutka. I can’t even assure you how much this isn’t true. I love cute stuff, I don’t care where it comes from, and these shoes are absolutely adorable. I want to hug my feet. Or send them a partner request. Reminiscent of the smooth platform and ultra-high heel of the Kookie – Athena boots, which I love too.

Designers United isn’t on for long and has been blogged to absolute death anyway, so just get down there while it’s still open.

Hi lovelies!

I don’t feel like today’s post is a proper blog post, because usually I like to have fun and mix up different outfits, but today the beautimous London Dailey, creator at Pink Outfitters, sent a few of us a copy of her newest outfit… and I was stupidly excited, because I’ve been drooling over this one since I first saw it on my build platform a few weeks ago after London told me I would love some new leggings she was making.

I do!

What’s in these pictures that isn’t from PO? The skin – that’s LeLutka. The hair is Lamb. The bag is Armidi, the only silver bag I owned, and I felt like I needed a prop in there somewhere. The gun is the Love Gun from PixelMode.

But the whole outfit? That’s Pink Outfitters, baybeh.

I love the way the sculpted jacket looks subtly fluffy… which is a terrible description that doesn’t do the gorgeous sculpt work justice at ALL. The collar leaves a shadow on the jacket that I think is adorable, the bottom of the jacket is snug around your body and everything fits together perfectly. When I first put it on, someone I was with commented that it looked like it would be a bugger to edit it to fit – it really wasn’t at all. A few minutes of stretching and it looks gorgeous.

The shading on the leggings is absolutely perfect and they’ll fit well under all the gorgeous sweater dresses appearing at the moment, as well as with this outfit. I cannot get enough good black tights, but these are gorgeous.

The shoes were an exclusive to Shoe Fair – the Aura boots in black, beautifully smooth and with a Louboutin-style red sole that stands out a mile when you’re walking. The whole outfit was perfecto and I am so proud of the little perfectionist that is Ms Dailey.
