Hi Guys and Dolls…..So we are winding down our campaign on 31 Days of Pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Even though Breast Cancer Awareness month is almost over, our fight for the cure isn’t. Everyday of every month of every year we should remind ourselves that cancer is a vicious disease that takes the lives of the people we love. Our mothers, fathers, children, sisters, brothers, cousins, friends, etc. The American Cancer Society predicts that in 2009, 269,800 will die of breast cancer this year alone making breast cancer the second leading cause of death in women. While breast cancer in young women accounts for a small percentage of all breast cancer cases, the impact of this disease is widespread. Of the women living with breast cancer, 250,000 of them are under the age of 40. The Young Survival Coalition is an amazing organization that is very dear and close to my heart. YSC works with survivors, caregivers and the medical, research, advocacy and legislative communities to increase the quality and quantity of life for women diagnosed with breast cancer ages 40 and under. When I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 25, their website, www.Young Survival.org, helped answer so many of the questions running through my head. If you get a chance, visit the website to see all the good things they are doing to support this cause.
I’d also like to thank Katey Coppola for allowing Emery and I to blog our looks for the month of October for BCA. We have enjoyed so much working with her on this project. We feel special and blessed to have had this opportunity to show our support. And thanks to everyone out there for visiting the blog!!! Ciao xoxo Sterling
On to our looks……
